tbc have partnered with Kintsugi Hope

What is Kintsugi?

“Kintsugi’ (金継ぎ) is a Japanese technique for repairing pottery with seams of gold. The word means ‘golden joinery’in Japanese. This repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object more beautiful, and even more unique than it was prior to being broken. Instead of hiding the scars it makes a feature of them.

Who are Kintsugi Hope?

Kintsugi Hope are a charity based in the UK striving to make a difference to peoples mental wellbeing.
(You can find out more information about Kintsugi Hope as an organisation, here.)

Kintsugi Hope and tbc want to see a world where mental and emotional health is understood and accepted, with safe and supportive communities for everyone to grow and flourish.

What is a Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group?

A Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group is a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space for people to think about their mental health and wellbeing and to provide some tools to help us understand and accept ourselves, as well as to help us grow towards a more resilient future.

Over 12 weeks, we look at topics such as disappointment, loss, anxiety, perfectionism, shame and resilience.

Many of us spend time and money investing in our physical health. Why not spend a couple of hours a week investing in your mental health? The group costs nothing except your time and everyone is welcome.

Our most recent Kintsugi Group has just finished. When the dates for our next group have been confirmed, they will be published on this page.
